Feng Shui Tips for Summer

Feng Shui ,the ancient Chinese art of placement of buildings and other material elements to enhance the flow of "vital life energy" known as Qi.  (pronounced Che)

Feng Shui followers believe that buildings (interiors and exteriors) and environments can be arranged and decorated in a way that maximizes the flow of Qi.  Proper directional placement can result in improvements to health and happiness of those who live in that environment.

Although the unembellished translation of Feng Shui fundamentally means "Wind and Water", its scope encompasses a lifestyle more profound than this. Feng Shui is an expression of the oneness and interconnectedness of all things on all levels and all dimensional plains. This is the elementary concept in understanding how our fundamental nature relates to everything else around us, including our environment.

As we begin to sense this oneness, we then find that it is possible to gain insight from looking at our environment on a broader scale. It is often said that "Feng Shui teaches us what we already know".

During this Summer, the season to be out doors, try to spend some time by the water.  Feng Shui practitioners believe that nothing attracts wealth and good luck like running water. Running waters that pool symbolize a gathering of wealth. The water element represents the flow of energy, clarity and attracts Qi, life force energy.

More positive Qi enhances health and prosperity. Running water helps move positive energy through space. Water is extremely soothing, very calming and is great for dipping toes, splashing, dunking and floating around.
