Marti Doyle Steed – Managing Broker/Owner

After being licensed to market and sell real estate since 1969, I realize that the most important job I have is making the selling or purchasing experience a relaxed, warm and rewarding one for everyone involved.

Purchasers want to acquaint themselves with the communities and their unique offerings as well as local property values. Our homes or second/weekend homes are where we retreat from the outside world to enjoy friends and family, where we create our ultimate environment of peace and joy; and community involvement helps to complete the country living experience.

A life long border resident of Dutchess County, NY and Litchfield County, Conn.; I am able to welcome new residents, to acquaint them with the many aspects of life outside of the cities and to introduce them to the local Postmaster, the stores where you can find everything you need and the best fresh pasta or coffee in Town.

Though I still maintain strong ties with my home town, Rhinebeck; Millerton and surrounds have become home to me as well. We are fortunate to experience a quality of life here that is close enough to NYC and Boston to satisfy our need to experience the excitement of city living and still have our country retreat just two hours or less close by.

I have recently decided to specialize in Historic Properties. I have always been in love with their classic lines; which, to me, scream "Country Living." Our home and our professional building (the Designated Historic Millerton RR Station) are both over 100 years old; although they come with their own set of unique challenges, I wouldn't want it any other way.

An rud a lionas an tsuil lioann se an croi. “What fills the eye fills the heart.”

Marketing and selling something you love and believe it makes it easy to love your work. Love what you do and do what you love is the best way I know to be a success in whatever you decide to do.

If you are considering selling and would like a free market analysis of your home or historic commercial property, please give me a call or shoot out an email and I will be happy to help you.

Please send your email to MillertonNY@gmail.com; let me help welcome you to the country or ease your way to relocation.

Most sincerely and Very Truly Your Country Realtor,

Ron Steed – Broker/Owner

Ron Steed, First Licensed to Market and Sell Real Estate in 1969, was the youngest Branch Manager of Strout Realty (the first nationwide real estate franchise). After 37 years of service to his community and to his industry, Ron is content and thankful to concentrate on daily service to owners and would-be property owners.

Ron is especially knowledgeable in the intricate details of buying and selling farms and raw land in general. He has helped many large land owners to actively participate in their "Estate Planning." Planning for the most aesthetic subdivision of their property (for the sale of nonessential farm land), offering portions of their property to the Land Conservancy and taking advantage of it's tax breaks as well as the tax savings involved with 1031 Exchanges.

If you are interested in learning how to save tax money without selling your property, or would like to relocate without paying capital gains tax, why not give Ron a call.

Yes, Ron has been a busy Realtor. In 2001 Ron was President of the New York State Association of Realtors after having served many previous years as its Secretary/Treasurer, President Elect and Chairman of countless committees; as well as having been appointed by Governor Pataki as one of the first Real Estate Commissioners (New York State Real Estate Board), where Ron served 4 two-year terms working directly with the Secretary of State in formulating laws to protect the real estate consumer.

Previously Ron was the President of the Dutchess County Association of Realtors after having worked his way through the executive chairs and chairing several committees in that Board as well.

Ron has worked directly with both local and national elected officials as well as countless surveyors, engineers, sellers' and buyers' attorneys, title companies, property inspectors, mortgage brokers and bankers. He has served our local Planning Board and Board of Assessment Review. In short, he knows how to get the job done!

Oh yeah, he also plays a pretty decent golf game!

If you have a real estate related job that needs doing, a property that needs selling, or are looking for some fine country property, give Ron Steed a call. 914-489-1625 or 914-489-8706. You can use these same numbers to arrange your golf game too!!!
